The Banksy’s story

To begin with, Banksy is a nickname of a street artist. We do not know the exactly name and date of birth of him. We know the year of birth. He was born in 1974 around Stoke-on-Trent in England.

He is known throughout the world for his graffiti. Throughout the last decades, his work has cropped up in many cities like; London, Los Angeles and the big city of New York. The artist always come back in Bristol to make beautiful graffiti.

As you may have gathered, Banksy tags anonymously. He had done some graffiti in the beautiful city of Bristol, in England. Valentine’s Day of Banksy it is a mural art, that was painted on 13th February 2020, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

Unfortunately, harmful people have damaged this work. Currently, only the red flower flow remains. Actually, some people have added a glass of protection in front of the red flowers for the protection of the art. Below, you will find a more recent photo where the little girl blowing beautiful red flowers is no longer present.

In Barton Hill, East Bristol: Valentine’s Day Mural

Central Bristol: Grim Reaper

This one is a little bit infamous.  She was originally painted on the side of “the Thekla Social boat” in Bristol harbour. In August 2014 the decision was taken to remove the work to protect it from damage and wear. But it is now in Bristol’s M-Shed for the long term.

In October 2014, along the Harbourside, the newest of Banksy’s works, this first appeared on the side of a building in “Albion Docks” in Hanover Place. You can find it near to Bristol Marina, look out for the clock tower. This one is really easy to find.

Central Bristol: Frogmore Street, Well Hung Lover

In the long street of “College Green” and “Park Street”, one of Bristol’s most famous streets. The best views to observe it is from the small bridge at the bottom of Park Street that crosses Frogmore Street. From here, you can find one good selection of trendy clothing shops, gift stores on the way.

Stokes Croft: The Canteen, Mild, Mild West

In Stokes Croft, you will find the Banksy’s Mild Mild West artwork is located next to “The Canteen”, the best views are from “The Jamaica Street Junction”. The place is like an outdoor gallery with graffiti that continually transforms the walls and buildings of the city. A lot of street-art fans express their creativity in these streets.

Cat and Dog, Easton

This area is slightly further out of the way but contains some of Banksy’s oldest works. This graffiti can be difficult to find if you come in car. Because a car or bus can ahead it. On Foster Street, you’ll find another very early Banksy’s art. In the area below the viaduct, you will find many other graffiti.

  • In the book “Banks captured” we can see some pictures of him. Apparently, this is a “white” man. Inspectors tried to search for its potential identity. There have been various guesses about him. His name is maybe: Roberts Banks, or even Robin Gunningham.

  • The name of the art that Banksy practices is called technic of stencilling. Many artists have tried to match his work, but now when Banksy achieved one painting, he made an Instagram post.

  • A society was made to the identification of the true one.

  • Banksy published many books like “Cut it out”, in 2004, “Wall and piece” in 2005. Some of his books have been sold at auctions.
